LONG TERM  PRSI BREAK USER

As practitioners, we know that movement between SI sessions is necessary to maintain and enhance the awareness and benefits gained from each session.

This movement needs to:

  • keep connective tissue fluid and flexible,
  • help the body stay naturally aligned, and
  • reduce stress.

First, PRSI Break reminds users to take a break.   It then demonstrates stretches, move by move, designed to improve flexibility and range of motion, maintain structural alignment and relieve tension.

Since I have started using PRSI, both at home and at work, I find that I have more energy to do my work.   More importantly, I have more energy at the end of the day.  I've also recently been in an accident which caused me shoulder, neck and back injuries.   PRSI stretches help to alleviate that pain.

Further, at work I'm often quite busy and overwhelmed, and it's tempting to 'skip' a PRSI break, but I can tell the days when I let myself do this.  I feel stiffer on those days, I feel 'gluey'.  Stopping for 5 minutes in an hour, in and of itself, is a good habit, but add to that focused breathing and stretches - well, the benefits are obvious.

Not only am I more energetic and better able to focus, I simply don’t feel as much stress at work or as tight and sore at the end of the day – particularly in my areas of injury. That gluey feeling isn’t there and I feel more fluid and loose. I also work better when I take a few minutes to stretch. I immediately feel more calm, and the area of body I'm working on opens up and releases all tension.   As a musician, I have run into many physical problems.
